This sequence presents ongoing work on real-time 3D projection mapping. This will be used in a future performance for Electorcircus festival(electrocircus.ch). The goal is to project on a 3D structure with a mask shape and to augment this structure with video using the current sound played at the gig. The work is done with OpenFrameworks and shader-based 3D graphics.
This project is a starting point for the creation of our RT3DPM – Real Time 3D Projection Mapping – software. This software intent to ease the preparation phase for projecting video mapped on a 3D shape by loading the 3D mesh file of the structure and using pre-programmed effect that will deform the structure according to audio and gesture inputs.
